With the Mix Envelope you can control the amplitude of a sound being mixed over time, and with the LFO you can add tremolo to the sound being mixed with control of the depth over time.
How to use it
Any sound document that has "Mix" selected as it's envelope type will be mixed with the sound in the currently active document. The Mix Envelope has the following three parameters, Range, Crossfade, and LFO. The default parameters will not change the amplitude (after Reset).
The Range popup menu can have a value of x4 to √∑12, it controls the maximum amplitude the envelope can have when it is processed. When mixing two sounds with a Range of √∑2, the maximum amplitude is cut in half, which will mix them without any clipping (mixing three sounds, √∑3, etc.).
The Crossfade popup menu is a list of all the sound documents that are in Envelope mode. Selecting a sound in the list will copy that sound's envelope and invert it. If the sound being copied from is using the LFO, it will copy that sound's envelope and LFO and invert the LFO.
The LFO dialog box lets you add tremolo or ping pong between the sounds being mixed. When a waveform is selected, the envelope controls the depth of the LFO.
Notes
The sounds being mixed together should have the same sample rate.
The mixing envelope is for mixing sounds in separate sound documents. To mix sounds within a single sound document use "Mix Down To Mono" or "Mix Down To Stereo".
See "Envelope", "Crossfade", "LFO", and "Reset" for more information.
